Ron Cogan
Director of Lacrosse Operations
Ron Cogan brings decades of elite playing, coaching, and leadership experience to the American Box Lacrosse League (ABLL) as its Director of Lacrosse Operations.
A highly respected figure in the game, Cogan will oversee all aspects of the league’s lacrosse operations, ensuring the highest standards of competition, player development, officiating, and game administration while helping guide the continued growth of professional box lacrosse.
An accomplished player on the international stage, Cogan proudly represented the Haudenosaunee Nationals in five World Championships, competing at the U19 World Championship in Tokyo (1996), the Men’s World Championships in Baltimore (1998), Perth, Australia (2002), and Manchester, England (2010), as well as the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in Prague, Czech Republic (2011).
Cogan’s championship pedigree includes back-to-back Presidents Cup titles, serving as Captain of the 2010 Onondaga RedHawks and Assistant Captain of the 2011 St. Regis Braves. During his junior career with the Six Nations Arrows (1998-2000), he helped capture the 1998 Ontario Junior A Championship and compete for the prestigious Minto Cup in Burnaby, British Columbia. In 2000, he was named MVP of the Ontario Junior A All-Star Game, earning the Jack Bionda Award.
Professionally, Cogan competed with the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) in 2009 and was named the Can-Am Lacrosse League MVP that same year. He also earned First Team All-American honors at Herkimer College in 2002, further establishing himself as one of the sport’s premier competitors. Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Cogan led the Onondaga RedHawks Men’s Team to the 2018 Can-Am League Championship, earning a berth in the Presidents Cup tournament in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
Known throughout the lacrosse community for his leadership, integrity, and deep knowledge of the box game, Ron Cogan’s experience at every level—as a player, champion, coach, and mentor—makes him an invaluable addition to the ABLL leadership team. His commitment to excellence and passion for developing the sport will play a key role in advancing the league’s competitive vision and fostering the next generation of box lacrosse talent.
Jordan Manias
Team Operations Manager & Brand Ambassador
Jordan Manias serves as the Team Operations Manager & Brand Ambassador for the American Box Lacrosse League (ABLL), bringing a diverse background in professional sports operations, team administration, and community engagement. With experience spanning professional lacrosse, hockey, and volleyball, Jordan has built a reputation for organizational excellence, operational efficiency, and a commitment to supporting athletes, coaches, and league partners.
Prior to joining the ABLL, Jordan was the Manager of Lacrosse Operations for the Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), where he oversaw team logistics, player needs, travel coordination, and day-to-day hockey operations. He currently also serves as Manager of Hockey Operations for the Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), managing all aspects of team operations and player personnel support.
Jordan’s professional experience also includes serving as Director of Volleyball Operations & Community Relations for the Orlando Valkyries of Major League Volleyball, where he combined operational leadership with community outreach initiatives to strengthen the organization’s presence and fan engagement. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Sales & Senior Account Executive for the Allen Americans of the ECHL, developing corporate partnerships, season ticket relationships, and fan experiences.
Drawing on his cross-sport expertise, Jordan plays a key role in advancing the ABLL’s mission to grow the game of box lacrosse by supporting league operations, enhancing organizational processes, and helping deliver a first-class experience for players, teams, and fans.
